No account needed. Stride creates a private sync code; your progress is encrypted on this device before it is stored, so nobody else can read it.

Keep this code somewhere safe, like a password manager. Anyone with it can read and change your synced progress, and if you lose it the synced copy can’t be recovered. Your progress code still works as a backup.
